PEACE NW believes that healthy interdependence on one another is required for individuals and hence the community to be healthy and whole. Therefore, anyone being mistreated affects us all.
PEACE NW is committed to lovingly, and courageously working for freedom and justice for all people. While we work to support individuals and families influenced by Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities, we understand that we are all created equal; that all people, regardless of skin color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, mental health, age, language, skills, or abilities are a loving part of our inclusive community.
When violence and brutality happen against one portion of our community, we must stand united to create the change that is required so our brothers and sisters of all ethnicities and abilities are safe and secure.
As Martin Luther King Jr said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.
PEACE NW stands in solidarity with those who are acting against the systemic racism that underlies the behavior of violence.
PEACE NW is working to intentionally build and nurture a beloved community that is bonded together. We acknowledge, respect, and celebrate
differences and commonalities.
