Strategic Plan Priorities Adopted by Board
To guide PEACE NW’s future growth and impact, the PEACE NW board adopted the following strategic plan priorities for 2022 to 2025 at its November 2021 Board meeting:
- Work with community partners to provide more accessible and affordable housing options for individuals with I/DD and their families.
- Provide information, education and advocacy directly to individuals with I/DD.
- Continue diversity, equity, and inclusion work to address disparities experienced by those with I/DD especially members of historically underserved racial, ethnic, geographic, linguistic and social class groups.
- Increase outreach and marketing efforts so that more people know what PEACE NW offers and to cultivate the resources needed to expand services and infrastructure.
- Expand funding streams and development capacities.
These priorities align with the mission, vision and values of PEACE NW which are:
- Mission: Enhancing communities for individuals of all abilities.
- Vision: Individuals have the connection and support they need to live out the life of their dreams.
- Values:
Interdependency
Accompaniment
Respect
Grace
Equity
Resiliency
Beloved Community

PEACE NW’s first strategic plan took effect January 1, 2018. Work on the second strategic plan began in September of 2020. The priorities were developed with the input of the Board, Executive Director, the PEACE NW team, and a variety of stakeholders including service recipients, funding agencies, former board members, and partner agencies. A heartfelt thank-you to all who participated in this process. We couldn’t do this work without you!
